Commercial Electrical

Commercial electrical from rough-in to final trim.

New construction, tenant buildouts, upgrades and service for offices, retail, warehouses and light industrial buildings across the Oklahoma City metro. A licensed, insured NECA contractor that holds the schedule.

How we help businesses

Built for owners, GCs and property managers.

Decades of commercial build experience across the metro. We know what a schedule costs when a sub slips, so we don't.

New construction

Complete electrical systems for new commercial buildings, bid from plans and installed right the first time. Service entrance, distribution, branch circuits, lighting and controls, rough-in to final trim.

Tenant buildouts

We work with general contractors and owners on tenant improvements, from a single suite to a full floor. Quality, code compliance and deadlines, in that order and all three every time.

Electrical upgrades

Panel and service upgrades, new lighting and custom wiring for businesses that have outgrown what the building came with. More capacity, better light and no surprises on the utility bill.

What we offer

Everything behind the panel door.

One licensed crew for the whole electrical scope. Design, installation, service and the emergency call at 2 a.m., all from the shop on Broadway Extension we've worked out of since 1973.

Need structured cabling in the same buildout? Our data crew pulls and terminates Cat6, fiber and coax and sets up the racks and closets.

Why Metroplex

A sub you can build a schedule around.

More than five decades on commercial jobs taught us what owners and general contractors need: a crew that shows up, work that passes inspection the first time and paperwork that's done before you ask.

53+Years in business

Incorporated in Oklahoma in 1973. Three generations of ownership.

24/7Emergency repairs

Typically on site in the OKC metro within 1 to 2 hours.

#96161Oklahoma license

Now also HVAC

Commercial HVAC, same crew.

Metroplex recently added heating and air conditioning, with licensed, trained technicians. For light commercial buildings that means rooftop units, split systems and maintenance from the same company that handles the electrical, under one estimate and one point of contact.

How a project runs

Plans in, closeout package out.

Four steps, whether it's a service upgrade on an occupied building or a ground-up build. You always know where the job stands.

  1. Consultation and estimate

Walk us through the plans or the building. We scope the job, flag anything that affects the schedule and give you a written, itemized estimate at no cost.

  2. Planning and permits

We build our schedule around your milestones, pull the permits and coordinate with your GC, the utility and the other trades before the first wire is pulled.

  3. Installation on schedule

A licensed crew on site when we said we'd be, a clean workspace and a lead who keeps you posted. Rough-in to final trim.

  4. Inspection and documentation

We walk the inspector through the work, then hand you the closeout package: permits, sign-offs and warranty documentation.

Commercial questions

What GCs and owners ask us first.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes. A lot of our commercial work comes through GCs. We bid from plans, coordinate with the other trades, keep to the schedule and deliver the inspection and warranty paperwork at closeout.

Are you licensed and insured for commercial work?

Yes. Metroplex is an Oklahoma State Licensed Electrical Contractor, license #96161, with liability and workers' compensation coverage, and a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Ask and we'll send the documentation for your file.

Who handles permits and inspections?

We do. Permits, inspections and the documentation that goes with them are part of every job, and all of our work meets or exceeds the National Electrical Code.

What happens if we lose power during business hours?

Call. We take emergency electrical calls 24 hours a day, and in the Oklahoma City metro we typically have an electrician on site within 1 to 2 hours.
